Title: Registered Mental Health NurseLocation: LeedsSalary: £20,295 + Negotiable Depending on experience The purpose of this role is to assist in achieving the highest possible standard of total client care by supporting the authority and control of the Matron/Manager. A professional qualification is essential and relevant to the post. You will be working within a specialist 10 bed dementia unit. Primary Role Responsibilities To administer drugs in accordance with the home’s policy and NMC guidelines. To formulate and evaluate the nursing care plan for which you are responsible, including the day to day progress notes. If the plan dictates further action then you will be responsible for carrying out the necessary action. To carry out regular checks on the building with special reference to the Fire Regulations and Health & Safety Act. To assist clients with their personal care and help to provide health supervision and attention through direct nursing care. To carry out regular checks on clients at intervals determined by their care plan and with due regard for the clients privacy. To ensure that aids and equipment are maintained and in good order and report if necessary. Assist the Manager to observe and maintain such records as may be directed by the Care Quality Commission (formally CSCI) and the homes policy including the incident log. To supervise, advise and instruct carers in the appropriate manner ensuring good practice. To carry out required treatments or clinical and nursing intervention. To liaise with external agencies on matters affecting client care. To update relatives of conditional changes and accidents.
