Title: Adult Community Development Manager Location: East Midlands Salary: £35,000 plus benefits Overview The role, Community Development Manager is responsible for all East Midlands Learning Disability supports including Respites, Independent Supported Living and Registered Supports. The supports are based in Nottingham, Spalding, Louth, North Lincolnshire, Lincoln a total of 18 supports. Managing two Community Managers and seven Team Leaders. The Regional office is based in Honington, Grantham however we always encourage Operational managers to work from home. The role holder will be required to travel including to North Yorkshire for meetings therefore a clean driving licence and own transport is essential. The role is strategic in terms of development of the East Midlands supports. A passionate person who is not afraid of hard work and is determined in achieving positive outcomes for the business and the people we support. Role & Responsibilities To commission, develop and manage quality supports for people who have a learning disabilities and additional needs. Instilling the principles of Citizenship and Social Role Valorisation. Providing enthusiastic, inspirational and visionary leadership across the regional networks. To act as an ambassador/role model for the clients unique organisational culture , demonstrating this through working practices nd cross-functional interaction with colleagues, both internal and external to the organisation. To contribute to the unique organisational culture of the client by ensuring that the working environment is one in which there is trust and respect between individuals. Openness and honesty in all communication and fairness and kindness in relationships with others. Service Objectives To create business units within given localities which deliver sustainable, forward thinking individual support, developing and maintaining forward thinking service delivery focused on consumer empowerment and advocacy. To ensure that service delivery consistently meets standards of good practice and satisfies organisational values, policies and procedures, quality assurance systems and current legislation. To enable people who use the service to have an active voice in the design of the support they require with their views and wishes truly respected. Operation Management To provide active and effective line management , leadership and support to local teams including office administration and administrative staff within a specific region ensuring the highest possible standards of performanceand service delivery at all times. To delegate and monitor budgetary management througout the region, implementng management strategies to enable each local business unti to remain viable and sustainable. To provide positve leadership and coaching to Managers within the region, empowering them to be effective in their role and to develop their skills and competencies. Other Responibilities New Devlopments/Strategic Planning: To contribute to the development of policy and strategic planning for the client, including the formulation and implementation of the client's business plan. Human Resources: To manage the deployment of human resources within each locality and oversee the implementation of the client's recruitment, selection ad induction processes. Policies & Procedures: To identify areas where improvements to existing policies and procedures are required and take action to develop operational systems further enhancing working and innovative practices. Working in Partnership: To ensure that positive working relationships are established and developed with external agencies resulting in an active commitment with the client's teams to work n partnership and alliances with other agencies. Continuous Quality Imporvement: To lead Area Management in the achievement of identified goals to ensure continuous quality improvement accross all aspects of service delivery, evaluating and continuously refining the continuousquality improvement and customer satisfaction/dissatisfaction process.
