The role is central in the delivery of quality services from the individual’s point of view and as such the post holder must have a proven career record of working with people with a learning disability for an extended period of time and also be able to demonstrate quality experience within a senior role. In addition the ideal candidate must hold an established, successful record of positive leadership and effective management. The Team Leader will be expected to be conversant with and personally committed to the principles of citizenship and social inclusion, possessing the stamina and skills to ensure effective consistent practice. Service Objectives The objective of the service is to provide a local, comprehensive, needs-led community based service for people with severe learning disabilities and additional special needs and which maximises their potential to make informed choices in their lives, in line with the Organisations strategic intent to be "The Customers Choice" Key Service Principles Job Description Hours of Work The Team Leader will normally work a 40 hour week on a rota basis including weekends, evenings, bank holidays and sleep in duties. However this role requires flexibility dependent upon the service and organisational needs. Part of these 40 hours will be "off rota" providing additional support to the service team. The Team Leader will also be expected to participate in the services on call rota with other senior members of staff Qualifications and Additional Ideally you will either hold or can demonstrate NVQ Level 4 in addition to RMA or Leadership and Management. Full driving license and own transport.
